AHCI for T41?

I need to enable AHCI, so that I can have TRIM support for an SSD, in Linux, but "Parallel ATA" is absent from the setup/configure menu? I watched a guy on Youtube enable AHCI on his T4x, not sure which model though. Any suggestions as to how to get this on my machine, T41 ?

AHCI is a SATA concept only. There is no SATA on T41, so AHCI is irrelevant.

TRIM does not require AHCI.

Oh, OK. Thank you! I couldn't find anything relating linux and AHCI Now if I can only figure out how to modify/edit fstab, to enable TRIM

Edit: I just found this:
"Only Intel and Samsung SSDs will have TRIM enabled by default in Ubuntu 14.04 because some cheap SSDs can even brick themselves when running TRIM"
So, I think that I'm good to go.

For every non swap partition, like / or /home add the discard command as in example below

<UUID=f0ae2c59-83d2-42e7-81c4-2e870b6b255d / ext4 discard,errors=remount-ro 0 1>

manual command is fstrim -v / for root partition or fstrim -v /home etc etc
