0190 Critical Battery Error

#1 Post by Boricua65 » Fri May 27, 2005 9:22 am

I get this message when I power up the T22 that I recently acquired. I plug in the ac adapter to recharge, and it does not. The battery light doesn't come on. I take out the battery and nothing happens. When I put the battery back in, I'm able to turn it on but will get the message because the battery isn't charged. But I do know it should be able to power up, even though the battery is pulled out. Can someone please help me on this one? TIA.

No light when you plug it in? Sounds like a bad AC adapter. They're $20 on eBay. You could test your AC adapter if you have a voltage meter.

Thanks for the response, laptop still not working.

I did test the adapter with a volt meter and it is working.

It's possible it may be talking about the small backup battery on the system board? I assume the T22 is several years old, so it sounds like a plausible reason...
