I think the lack of docking port pretty much gives it away. :) I assume some RAM experts will also find details on the SODIMM that differs from modules you would usually find in a T43. Numbers of chips, etc. I'm not quite there.

Good job on getting it assembled. I assume that's an UXGA panel there. All functions of this board work like they should?

Tell us more! I'm curious about the specs of your particular machine. I'm also interested to know how you acquired one. Not that I want to, but I'm just interested.

I am interested too. Is this (right one?) mysterious T50? And it is live - LIVE!

I'll be addressing that aspect in a separate thread, but the quick answer is "no". My board has the same "bugs" as the one that I've previously tested.

The planar came to me via the incredible kindness of a fellow forum member - RMSMajestic - as seen in this thread: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... 48#p748848

As for the specs, the current system was simply slapped together for basic testing. Some of the important parts are still missing, on their way, or about to be ordered.

Once everything is in its place - which should happen by the end of next week - I'll perform some proper testing and post results in a separate thread.

Ah, so then the system will be "free" in about 10 to 20 years :) .

Maybe. Or maybe the buyer would be paying off a brand new "reverse" mortgage...

I've uploaded a few pictures of the NOS parts that are going into the machine here:

Just to get you good people drooling a bit until I get to writing the review of the finished product...

Honestly, I had nothing. Every single NOS part that went into this system (base, lid, LCD, SSD) was sourced with the help of other forum members, and I'll never be able to express my gratitude for their willingness to help with this project. The same applies to you since there never would've been a T50 project of my own if it were not for your own graciousness...

No sir, unfortunately I've got none of the above. Not even close to brand new.
