T43 1871-C1U & 9 cells battery

#1 Post by nanodario » Sat May 02, 2015 11:42 am

Hello everyone :)
I am planning to buy a 9 cells battery on ebay for my T43 1871-C1U but I have read on System service parts page (Lenovo website) that only CTO models (and some 26xx models) supports 9 cells batteries.
So the question is: will this battery works on my T43 1871-C1U?

Thanks :D
Sorry for my English...

Yes it will work just fine.

Just remember that the quality of aftermarket batteries varies greatly. The cells tend to degrade faster than OEM ones, and the aftermarket models may throttle the processor randomly.
Current Thinkpads: W530 (functional classic keyboard mod), X301, T61, T60, T43, T23, 600X, 770
Other: mk5 Toughbook cf-19, mk1 Toughbook cf-53

So all 9 cells batteries works with all T43 models?

So are there any batteries better than ebay's one?

Presuming that we're talking about the batteries for T4x/R5x series, the answer is "yes".

I'd rather buy a gently used genuine battery than a new aftermarket one, but that's me.
