Are the T43 keyboards compatible with T42 chasis?

Are the keyboards on 14" T43 the same as a T42 14" keyboard and are the keyboard interchangeable between 14" and 15" screens.

Can a T43 keyboard be used on a T42?

Yes.

Yes, presuming the same screen size.

How about the batteries between a T42 and T43. Are they the same battery?

Yes. The batteries are interchangeable between all T4x/R5x systems regardless of the screen size or any other differences.
