Nope, the Fire GL T2 found in T41p and T42p had the cover of the same size as V3200. For reasons known only to themselves, IBM decided to cool the T2 in R50p passively...now that was a *really* bad idea...Is that because the ATI Mobility FireGL V3200 256MB is a massive and oversized GPU chip?
BTW, V3200 only has 128MB of dedicated VRAM. The other 128MB gets borrowed from the system RAM.
The entire cooling concept of the "p" segment in T4x generation is pretty flawed IMO, but it is what it is. That's why we have undervolting to help us out on these machines.
