I have two Intel wifi cards and just received my T43p backup. It came with the Intel FRU 27k9936. My old T43 has intel FRU 93p4235
Which wifi card is better?

Re: T43p wifi question with Intel wifi
They're both 2915ABG, arguably the worst mini PCI wireless card ever found in a ThinkPad.

Re: T43p wifi question with Intel wifi
I figured you would say that. I thought that was the wifi card but didn't take the time searching the thinkpad forum to confirm this. Perhaps the TP Link card is my next step. On a side note, one of the keys popped out of the keyboard and the hinges broke on a key. I discovered not all T43 keyboards are the same and the internals are not always interchangeable. I have one backup keyboard that has the same keyboard scissors. I have more than 30 chances to get it right.

Re: T43p wifi question with Intel wifi
For the very worst Thinkpad Wifi card, this intel card carries a signal very well and the download and upload speeds are very good.
Anyway here are the specs on this T43p (backup T43p).
Based 2668-74U: Pentium M 760(2.0GHz), 2GB RAM, 80GB HDD, 14.1in 1400x1050 LCD, 128MB ATI FireGL V3200, CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ether, UltraNav, Sec Chip, FPR, WinXP Pro
It's not perfect but it was very inexpensive. I used the 2 X1GB ram sticks from my T61 that I got for this T43p. I still have a 1GB stick in my old T43. I have a green 6 cell IBM battery and two green 9 cell IBM batteries. I have 3 genuine IBM chargers and one more somewhere in boxes. I will probably order a new T43 keyboard from China for this Thinkpad as I have destroyed a junker keyboard that came with the other T43p.
