External Monitor: L200P, L191P, Samsung 213T?

#1 Post by hotwheels » Sat Jun 04, 2005 3:13 pm

I have a t42 M3U with the 9600 video card. I do lots of text work writing reports and I am looking for an external monitor and keyboard. The Thinkvision 19" and 20" seem like good choices, but the Samsung 213T also seems like a good choice. The contrast ratio on the 19" is 1000:1 which may or may not make it a better choice for text, depending on the brightness. Anyone have experience with these monitors with a T series?

I am also planning to get the usb wireless keyboard, unless there is a better choice?

Thanks for the comments.

I am using Dell external monitors. They go on sale often and for the price, I have not been able to beat them. I have also bought refurbs with no bad pixels.

I use the Logitech wireless KB/Mouse. Works great.

Thanks Andrew,
I am thinking about the IBM/Lenovo keyboards, maybe the travel maybe the wireless. I use the logitec wireless also and find it a great keyboard, but it might be useful to have the Fn key and some other functions that the IBM offers. I like the Samsung display, the 213t, but seeing is believing and I have not seen the L191p or the 200P so those are more of an unknown. Wish I could see one....
