What is the hard reset formula?

#1 Post by Hans Gruber » Mon Oct 05, 2015 11:58 pm

Can someone tell me the process of the hard reset. My memory of past threads. Hold the power button down for 10 senconds 10 times and 30 seconds for a final time. I know that's not accurate but that is the best of my recollection. Can someone give me the specifics. One of my T43P's is not receiving power when connected to the power supply. I tried multiple power supplies.

Looks like your memory serves you well. However, the key is not how many times, or for how long, one presses the power button. What is required is to remove both the battery and AC adapter, then press the power button for long enough to drain any residual power from the circuits. Thirty seconds to one minute is usually considered long enough.
Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

Thanks Neil.

I went through the process/ritual and my T43P woke up from it's slumber.
