hi All,
I am looking at the new T43P and the specs say it has a Mobility FireGL V3200 graphics chipset.
How does equate to the normal desktop graphics cards?
thanks

T43P Graphics chipset
FireGL V3200 is built on the x600 core. Drivers are optimised for opengl.
I had the choice between the t43 and t43p, it's the reason why I chose the p version (I'm a little bit gamer and do use my laptop all the day so I was looking for a little/performant laptop
).
Enjoy

Thanks for the feedback!
I currently have the 41p for that reason, I play games on it. I am looking at the new T43P as a replacement but I want the best graphics chipset possible.
Does anyone know if they are going to release one based on the x800?
That would have to be my biggest and only criticism against IBM laptops is that they lack in graphical power when compared to some of the other brands.
Other than that I love 'em!

thinkpad is a business line where the goal is to reduce size and increase portability (autonomy).
For that reason, thinkpads will always be some steps behind other high end gaming solutions
Nevertheless, I plan to play a lot on my future t43p...
