ram memory

#1 Post by jarbill » Thu Jun 09, 2005 11:42 pm

Does anybody have a recommendation on 512mb ram modules for t43 2687DDU? A couple of the places I was looking at seem to be out of stock at the moment of the Kingston Value Ram modules. There are some other Kingston/Samsung modules available, but they're a good bit more expensive than the value ram, but I don't know if they're any better or not and therefore worth the premium.

I know there have been some posts in the past about this topic, but I couldn't locate them in the older stuff. Maybe I just overlooked them.

BTW, ordered the above-mentioned 2687DDU 5/31/05, received it 6/8/05. Not too bad, I didn't think.

Thanx.

In my past experience, ValueRAM will be just fine if you are not going to overclock the memory. (You can't do that anyway on a Thinkpad)

Newegg.com has the ValueRAM in stock. Newegg.com is a very reputable e-tailer and I have done business with them in the past before without any problems whatsoever. Check them out on ResellerRatings.com if you don't believe me.

There is a reason Kingston is still around after all these years...

I went to Newegg.com today and ordered a stick of the 512 mb ram. I could have sworn when I checked Newegg the other day they said they were out of stock, as well as Mwave, but when I checked this morning, they said in stock, so maybe I'm thinking of another vendor.

Anyway, they said it's packaged and ready to go.

Thanx for the input. :)

I've been monitoring neweggs and mwaves stock on the 1gb sticks, it comes and goes for both of them so I don't think you're imagining things.
X31, T43p (on sale soon I think :( ), T400
