PC Card slots may be faulty?

#1 Post by dejola » Fri Jun 10, 2005 10:16 pm

I'm having trouble with my Linksys PC card wireless network adapter. I'm beginning to think there may be a loose connection in there. Is there anything I can do on a DYI basis to check this and fix it?

Thanks.

Happened to me once on my old 600E. I had been using my wireless card without a problem for several months. After returning from a trip, I couldn't make a wireless connection. I ran system diagnostics from the BIOS and checked Device Manager but no errors showed up. After spending a whole day troubleshooting and doing a complete fresh install of WIN 2000 - it occurred to me to try the other slot. DOH! It worked!. One of my slots was bad.
