Thinkpad Cases from IBM...

#1 Post by redrumchoy » Sat Jun 11, 2005 10:14 am

Anyone have any experience on the Thinkpad Cases for sal eon the IBM website (i.e. the Nylon Case, Expander, Leather, etc)?

I am personally very interested in the Nylon, Expander, and Organizer ones as with EPP pricing they are very affordable for me...

Are they protective enough and if so which do you prefer? (or at least WOULD prefer ;) ) I have a t43p 14" for it.

*EDIT What about the backpack?

I have the ThinkPad nylon carrying case and it looks its protecting my ThinkPad well.
ThinkPads: R51 (1836HAU), T41 (23737FU), 600 (264551U), T60 (2008VRQ), T500 (224255U)

I have the older organiser style case and the older design backpack one - i really only use the backpack now though as it is much more practicle. They are very well made and stand up to a lot of punishment.

The new backpack on the IBM website though is very nice - much nicer than mines, some people at work have the new style and i'm wondering how I can get my grubby mits on one as they look much less like a laptop bag and have cool features like a light, a line-out port and cd holder

The organiser is good though if you have to humph around a lot of stuff as it is like a tardis - i have had 6 ThinkPads in one once.

Check out the features of the cases here:
