startup and harddisk passwords

probably an obvious question, but where can I find a simple step-by-step instruction on setting startup and harddisk passwords on a T42 and a T22? I also read somewhere that its possible to configure so you only need to enter them once per startup (ie, not to have to type the (same) password for startup/hdd/windows)? thanks in advance.

For T42, press F1 key during boot on the IBM logo screen. Look for security and set the passwords.
