Recovery CDs

#1 Post by mixelogj » Tue Jun 14, 2005 10:03 am

Hello to everyone,
I apologize if this has been previously covered. I was unable to find anything with a quick search. I just received my T43 and i'm excited about it! However, the package does not include any recovery CDs which will install the OS as well as all the bundled software, in case of HHD failure (and replacement) for example. Are they supposed to come with the laptop or are they sold seperately from somewhere?

Thank you!

IBM does not ship the Recovery Discs, but you can make your own recovery CDs from the Rescue and Restore utility.

Boot up

#4 Post by mixelogj » Thu Jun 16, 2005 10:52 am

thanks for your replies. I didn't want to start a new thread for this but i havw another question. I the latest bios vrsion (ends in 05, can't remember the rest) and after i updated my video card drivers with catalyst mobile 5.6 and the mod, the bios boot up screen as well as the windows xp loading screen are about half it's size. Somehow resolution was increased and everything is smaller. If i go to bios and enable the option which stretches the image to the full screen (under config -> graphics) everything is ok for that boot, but for the next bootup somehow that option resets itself back to off.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much!
