Columbus, Ohio - Get my hands on a T43?

Hello, all. I'm new to being a member but have lurked for quite some time. I'm heading to grad school next week and have decided that the T43 is probably the best notebook for me. There's only one problem. I'm very much a touch before you buy kinda person. When I was interested in the Sony Vaio I headed to Microcenter three separate times. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone on these boards knows where I can "test drive" a T43 for a few minutes. I live in Columbus, Ohio. I've called all the major chains (Best Buy, MicroCenter, Office Depot, Circuit City, etc.) as well as some mom and pop computer stores from the yellow pages, but no one has one in stock to look at. I'm desperate. Time is short and I'd love to order this thing by week's end. The only thing holding me up is the touchy, feely part. If anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated.

Perhaps a major university has a bookstore that sells computers, including IBMs?

Thanks for the suggestion, Marc_G, but I've already called the campus bookstores. Last night I even went so far as to speak with the IT folks for the specific college I'll be attending, but they were less than helpful in trying to point me in the direction of a Thinkpad on display or even a student with one for that matter.
