Integrated Bluetooth II + Windows 7: How to use bluetooth headset??
Integrated Bluetooth II + Windows 7: How to use bluetooth headset??
I have that card from a dead T41p and transplanted into my A30p (or else for other machines I have 1803 error is no go). Now after using the Windows Mobile drivers trick with the Bluetooth II driver that came preinstalled into Windows 7, I am able to get MTP working but I simply cannot get audio transmission working at all. It is able to pair my device and I can install Windows Mobile drivers and the errors went away. However, there is no button for me to connect. I tried the original drivers from Lenovo and it cannot even get me that far. I have a pretty old Nokia BH-214 headset as well as the new Samsung Gear IconX and the original utility throw me an error on both of them for unable to connect for the older one and cannot find audio service for the newer one.
I tried all my phones as well and the Windows 7 driver works with all of them for MTP only, no audio transmission again (because the connect button/utility is nowhere to be found) while the IBM/Lenovo OEM driver gives me error about unable to connect as well.
One other annoying thing about the IBM/Lenovo OEM driver + utility is that it makes a shortcut onto the desktop called My Bluetooth Places, it cannot be removed and if you launch that, explorer.exe crashes and restarts.
Anyone tried these things and got out of these trouble? It seems like just like Fingerprint utility, Windows 7 does NOT provide a powerful universal control program on its own and you basically cannot use it without the utility from IBM/Lenovo or upgrade to Windows 10. The procedure should be exactly the same from a T4x/R5x except for T43/R52 which has a different version of BT card.

Maybe this will help, not sure with Windows 7.

Re: Integrated Bluetooth II + Windows 7: How to use bluetooth headset??
I have come to the conclusion after much experimentation, drivers, devices, etc. that Windows 7 will not connect to an audio device such as a speaker(s), headset, or anything else audio related.
That's just the way it is and nothing will fix this.

Not true.
A friend of mine has a 15.4" R61 with W7-Pro and runs outdoor BT speakers off it, using the BT-II module from the lid.
Next time I see him, I'll ask for details.

Ask him if thats using A2DP profiles which i believe BT2 doesn't have and modern BT headphones needs.RealBlackStuff wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2017 2:14 pmNot true.

Yes, unless the A2DP driver or .ini, or whatever its called is installed Win 7 will not communicate with a newer audio device. And from the experiences I've had over the last week, there's no way to install them into a Win 7 machine.
I hope someone can prove me wrong using a modern Bluetooth audio device.

Use it all the time, on multiple Bluetooth electronics. Gave you the answer already:

When I click on the 'Setup' icon it asks me if i want to run this software and then nothing happens. The box closes and the program does nothing except crash Explorer and Explorer restarts itself.

Re: Integrated Bluetooth II + Windows 7: How to use bluetooth headset??
It connected! It is using the original Lenovo BT 4.0 driver. I#ve been fooling with this for another couple of hours today.
I've tried the Toshiba drivers, the suggestions from all forum members that posted links. Most wouldn't install, none that did would work.
After repeated attempts to connect, restarting the system, the speaker, iTunes, etc. it finally connected to the T520.
Time will tell if it will repeat the connection. Right now I'm listening to iTunes through this, so I'm not going to cycle it.

Re: Integrated Bluetooth II + Windows 7: How to use bluetooth headset??
It disconnected after two songs.
I had to close iTunes, and it connected again. When it dropped the connection the internal speakers were again set as the default audio output device. Even after telling the audio software that the BT speaker was the default device.
Disconnected again after two songs. Reconnected after cycling power to the Flip 4. Did not close iTunes this time, nor open the BT connect window.
Up to 20 songs now without a disconnect.

Would it be possible to share the download link for the driver you're currently using? I understand it's the following one:
