When you press F12 on bios screen, does it show you the HDD as an option?

So were you able to boot into windows with the new WD hdd boot?

Windows calculate capacity differently than hdd vendors. One megabyte for XP is 1048576 bytes. One megabyte for hdd vendor is 1000000 bytes. Thus a "80GB" drive can show up as 76GB.

In bios you can disable (unhide) the hidden partition. But are you sure you have one?
