T21 CDRW/DVD drive- which to get?

#1 Post by wogeboy » Sat Jun 18, 2005 10:07 am

Hi all:
Have a T21 with the generic DVD drive in it. Would like to add a DVD/CDRW Drive instead. I don't need a DVD Burner, just a DVD player with CDRW capabilities...
Any advice on which drive to get? I can take off the face plate and caddy from the exisitng dvd drive if need be...maybe save money on abare dvd/cdrw drive? thanks!

I got the Multi-burner plus, part #73P3312, for my T23. Although yoou say you don't need to burn DVD's, you might find backing up to CD's gets old pretty quick with our larger hard drives and with DVDs costing about the same as CDs now, I do like that 4.7GB capacity.
