Is the microphone a 'Stereo Microphone'? Howto 3 mic's?
Hi,
Is the microphone line-in on T42 a 'Stereo Microphone'?
Is it possible/how to connect three microphones to record simultaneously?

It is not a stereo mic. Standard mono. I expect you would have to switch soundcards, to one which allows multiple line-ins. Or, perhaps you could run your mics through an amp with multiple inputs (for the mics) and one output to the thinkpad's line in? Of course all your audio data would be on the same track, but you would achieve recording multiple sources simultaneously.

I expect you can use your PCMCIA slot to install a secondary sound card. I don't know if the integrated one is swappable. I know people do multitrack recording to their laptops however, so I'm sure there is a workable solution with the right soundcard/software setup.
