Anyway, I still have a T21 that's been sitting in the corner for the past year. It dosen't work because my girlfriend put a cup of tea on the computer with the LCD was closed. However, the cup of tea spilled and maybe half of the contents spilled and seeped through the hinges. I tried to turn on the computer after (I know really dumb move, didn't know at the time) and it turned on once, then after it never has.
That was one year ago. Last night I was on eBay and found that parts for the T2X line is very cheap...so I'm debating whether or not I should repair it myself.
Here's the problem. I took apart the notebook to see what the problem was...and I found that underneath the fan/heat sink is a copper plate, and this copper plate was all burnt or had burn marks from the tea I guess. I'm guessing this is the problem. The battery indicator seems to work fine, and charging, not a problem. When I try to boot it up though, the green light flickers but no boot up
So at this point, I know that the power source is fine, but my guess is that the board is fried. My question is, before I spend $50-60 on a part out T2X off eBay, is there anyway I can know for sure what part is fried and what isn't? To sum it up, the lights flicker when I push the power button, and battery charges just fine. Please help me! Thanks for your help!
