T43p: Difference between UC3G2AT and UC3G7AT?

#1 Post by wiesl » Sun Jun 26, 2005 12:04 am

Hello!

Are there any differences between the T43p UC3G2AT and UC3G7AT?

Specs of both:
T43p: Intel Pentium M 770 2.13 GHz, 1 GB, 60.0 GB, 14.1" TFT
(1400x1050), Mobility FireGL V3200 (128MB), DVD Recordable (DVD-RW),
Gigabit Ethernet, Modem, Intel Wlan 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth, Fingerprint
reader, WXPP

Prices are the same.

Thank you.

Ciao,
Wiesl

I think I found a difference:

UC3G2AT = 2668G2G = 2668-G2U ?
UC3G7GE = 2668G7G = 2668-G7U ?

According to tabook (I only found something in tabook when the last letter ist different, assuming german keyboard for "G") the only difference is Intel WLAN (2915ABG, 82533 chipset) vs. Atheros WLAN (Mini PCI Adapter II, Atheros AR5004X chipset).
Link: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitu ... tabook.pdf

Is this the "correct" thinkpad?

Which one is better: Intel WLAN or Atheros WLAN?

Ciao,
Wiesl
