One pixel always black, but moves with different resolutions

#1 Post by ZildjianKX » Fri Jul 01, 2005 11:23 am

I know this sounds crazy, but I have a pixel that is always black (or sometimes white), but it's not a stuck pixel, since if you rotate the screen, it stays in the same position, or if you change resolutions, it moves.

Anyone have any clue why this would be happening? I presume it's related to the video card, but does that mean it's a driver problem, or that I have a messed up videocard? :(
Thanks in advance (T43, X300 BTW).

Oh, one more note... this is weird, if you put the mouse cursor over it, it is no longer black...

i get a similar thing on my t41..

as it turned out.. it's like.. a 1px by 1px graphic related to the scrolling button software.. (i'm assuming you have one of those)

If i put my mouse cursor precisely over that single pixel, the cursor changes. try it out.

i get rid of em by mousing over till the cursor changes.. then hitting the scroll button.
