battery Maintenance tool, charging to 100% on life span mode

#1 Post by danny_isr » Fri Jul 01, 2005 1:20 pm

i thought when I’m choosing the "automatic charge for me" mode .
it suppose to random charge it to a different value and not top it at 100% .
mine goes to 100% all the time.

is that a problem with mine ? or did i understand this function wrong ?

I am wondering the same thing myself, cause the behaviour is the same. It will always charge the battery to 100% in life span mode. I am thinking of specifing manual thresholds.

Interesting,

Same thing here on my T43 2668-75U. I turned on the automatic threshold a few days ago. i have yet to see the battery charge to anything under 100%.

I think the threshold is where the charger kicks in and starts charging. So if you set it to like 85% the charger will allow the battery to run down to 85% before it kicks in the charging circuit. It will continue to charge untill it fully charges the battery to 100%

I think it suppose to replace the manual settings (auto Vs manual).
the manual allows you to set up minimum and maximum,.
the auto mode should do the same automatically

and it really makes sense that it will change the TOP/maximum to different values all the time.

What purpose would be served by changing the top/maximum to different values????

I think I hit it on the head with my explanation.

it's better for the battery , to charge evey time to different value
