credit card discounts after the fact?

#1 Post by alpuzz » Mon Jul 04, 2005 10:36 am

This might be a stupid question but can credit card discounts be applied after the fact? I placed the order for my T43 on 6/3, and got it on 6/10. I used a mastercard, but I didn't even know that the credit card discounts were available until a couple days ago. Is there anything I can do at this point or am I SOL?

Thanks,

Typically, yes... at least, I was able to apply an EPP after the order. You need to speak to Customer Service and they will usually make you wait for most of the 30 days, since I think they can only give you one refund, and just in case the price drops even further in the future, they want to process the best price.

Interesting. So, does the 30 days start from the time the order was placed, the day the machine ships or the day it is received?

Thanks,

I believe the order was placed since the price you pay is locked on the date the order is placed; but at the same time, the 30 day "No Questions Asked" return policy is 30 days from shipment (or rec'd if very different). There's no reason why they should deny it for that, mainly because you can just return the unit and reorder it.

Well, I spoke with my rep on Tuesday 7/5. He called me back today and informed me that a credit of $229 will be posted back to my account within the next few business days!
Not bad, especially considering I don't have access to any employee or educational discounts, $1975 for a 75U.
