Thinkpad t41 windows 98 se audio

I have installed the OS- but problem is the recommended soundmaz driver never works for this installation.
I was wondering if anyone at all has gotten audio playback to work on a thinkpad t41 running windows 98se. If that is the case how did you do it??
Any help at all will be much appreciated have a good time.

Not sure if this is still relevant... But anyway: A slightly older driver does work, I used the one for a T30 model: https://thinkpads.com/support/Thinkpad- ... m/T30.html. It's version number is 5.12.01.5160
