sleeve for me

#1 Post by arun » Thu Jul 07, 2005 1:54 pm

Guys,

Just got my T42.. I need a sleeve for it. I read all the threads. Could someone list the top 5 manufacturers, I can look thru thier websites and see what looks good.

By the way if anyone has a T42, 15inch with 6cell with a sleeve that fits perfectly please let me know which one you have (exact sleeve model)

Thanks.

I looked and looked, finally settled for the best. go to sfbags.com

WATERFIELD BAGS

Don't even think of any others, the thinkpad in a cheap sleeve is like driking fine wine from a styrofoam cup.

I got the vertical sleeve for my 15" T43 and carry it in my DaKine 101 backpack. I originally got the crumpler crisp suit which was a very good bag with a great protective sleeve built in but it just wasn't big enough.

Others on this forum will tell you the same...buy the sf bags sleeve, call them up tell them what model you have and they will recommend the right sleeve for you.

Seriously... don't waste your time with anyone else...you didn't buy a Dell did you?

1) Waterfield ---> Hands-down this wins!!!!

2) Booqbags
3) Tombihn (can be 4, based on personal choice)
4) Crumplerbags (can be 3, based on personal choice)
5) Zeroshock, CaseLogic and any other generic brands!

I support this fully,
the waterfield sleeve plus strap plus piggyback bag - looks ultracool, you can pack it in a backpack or whatever with no problems, and it is just soooo beautifully made...
The first night after I had received it, I even slept with it:-)

Ok just checked out the SFbags site. Priced mines at 73.00 b4 shipping.

Now that seems like a lot of money, but then again I spent a lot on the TP.

Are all the SFBags sleeves the color and design?

I am also going to look at the BOOQ ones. They seem to look cool as well.

Anyone know which size in Booq fits a T42 15, 6cell ?

Thanks.

Will the Waterfield sleeve fit a 15" T42 with 9-cell battery?

EDIT: Checked the site - figured it out. Sorry.

Check out my pics in my sig - Waterfield sleeve and how the two batteries I have fit in the piggy back with room leftover - 9 cell fits in the sleeve even when attached to the computer.

However, I have NOT slept with mine!
