My new 2687-DVU!! Related questions and my expereince so far

I have read many popular threads related to shipping and always wondered why people are so excited and report back the status of their shipping. Just experienced it myself!!!

Ordered a 2687-DVU on 06/21 - Config - 15" FlexView, 64MB x300, 512 MB (+1 extra 512 MB), 80 GB 5K4 HDD, DVD +/- RW, Wireless A/B/G/BT, FP Reader.

I called on Tuesday and was told that it should ship by late this week or early next week. To my sweet surprise, I got the shipping confirmation email from Lenovo yesterday. Checked the shipping information nothing until yesterday night. The latest is like..

The question I have is since it's already the 8th of July in HK, and why the shipment has not reached US yet?? Should I be starting to get worried now?

I also placed an order for 17" Waterfield sleeves including all the accessories for $107 shipped 2nd day! Gary was absolutely awesome, I got a shipping email within 45 minutes of placing my order. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a sleeve for their TP's!! Thanks to the previous posters here, based on their posts I chose sfbags over the rest.

OTOH, what are some of the first things that I should do once I receive my TP. I know this has been covered here before, but would really appreciate if someone is kind enough to go over these again! Will post in this thread once I find more info about the shipment.

I live just down the other side of the river in Cincinnati and I hope they deliver this tomorrow?? What do you guys think?? I am now as excited as a kid which tastes chocolate for the first time in life!!!

I would bet it will be the day after tomorrow because of the customs delay. Unless it clears customs by end of the work day today then it can move to the local distribution point over night and be delivered tomorrow.

I'm in the exact same position, it is being checked by customs in KY. I can tell you that when my free battery shipped, it arrived in KY the morning of July 3, and was delivered to north florida the moring of July 5, so it will be their soon.

Woooohoooohhooooo!!!!!!!!! I hope the customs official clears this one at the earliest, so I can see this puppy tomorrow!!!

Yayyyy, I am posting this message from my new TP!!! This is soooooo different from the Dell's that I have been working on all these years....makes me wonder why I didn't purchase a TP earlier!!! (the truth is I was able to afford one now only!!) I haven't yet re-installed anything it. Hope to do it tomorrow.
