About a month ago, I bought a 1 GB stick of patriot memory off of newegg. The specs were the same but a little bit slower. Which I don't think matters, because I read somewhere that more memory > more speed. Final cost after tax and shipping was 130 something and I'm waiting on a 10 dollar mail in rebate. So what do I think of that price? EXPENSIVE!! By the way, the shipping for the memory was 99 cents, which arrived in 2 days.

Call your rep again - that's not the right price.

73P3842 - 512MB PC2-4200 CL4 NP DDR2 SDRAM SODIMM
should be $68.60

That's what it shows on my order ... cheaper than crucial.com (though crucial is cheaper for the 1GB version)

This is what I paid for the RAM that I received today with my TP!!!

So check with IBM again.

Yep, $68 should be the EPP price.
