Rapid Restore Ultra 4.0 Backup location

I was looking through the help file and it doesn't really say where this 'hidden location' is... I know it's easy to delete the backup file but unchecking all the boxes next time you restore, but...

I backed up last time over the network to another PC in the house, and when it was done, I lost around 5gb of disk space on my thinkpad. Is this normal?
