Can anyone tell me the difference between Pentium M processors? Are all pentium M processors Centrino? What is the best thinkpad processor to buy?
Thanks for helping.

Well use the search, but hears a run down:
Centrino is a label intel gives a notebook with these features: an intel wifi card, an intel pentium M CPU, and an intel chipset
Sonoma is a second generation of Centrino, but it is still labeled Centrino as to not confuse people
The new Sonoma uses these specific parts: The new Alviso (915) Intel chipset, and Intel Dothan Pentium M, and an intel wifi card, the latest being the 2915ABG
Older centrino notebooks use the Banias Pentium M, and the 855 ( i think thats right) chipset
The thinkpad T43 uses the new sonoma platform. I would say the sweet spot seems to be the Pentium M 750 @ 1.86Ghz, above that and you pay much more for little performance gains. Buy it only if you know you'll need it.
