Flexview vs. non-flexview

#1 Post by tyulish » Wed Jun 23, 2004 7:15 pm

First, i would like to say this is the first time for me posting on this forum, so i apalogize in advance for all my mispellings.
Like everyone in the entire world, I'm trying to decide between a flexview or a 14 incn TP.
Since i can't see the Flexview models, I was hoping maybe someone could watch a DVD on a Flexview and give any examples of if they saw ghosting/shadowing.
From what I have read on this forum, it seems that the flexview is good for still graphics while the 14 inch is better for motion. Is this correct?
It is hard to determine from other reviews what the TP flexview is really like. Some say they barely notice ghosting, while others have returned their TP for 14 inch ones. Any ideas?
btw, the reviews have been great!!!

I think I am in the same boat as you. The flexview models look great, but still the whole 'ghosting' thing is giving me pause.

I want the better colour, sharpness, brightness....but what about blurring?

For example, if I'm watching Return of the King, are the battle scenes going to look awsome, or just one big blur? These are important issues! Ok seriously, aside from some 3d games bluring occasionaly, how serious is this bluring?

simple, buy one of each and return the other.

for me, it's a more important decision for screen size: 14 v 15, for instance. flexview is just an extra to me. both lcd screens are great. ibm doesnt make crap stuff. as for the flexview, there isn't any shadowing that i can see in return of the king. it's definitely not one big blur.. i think the whole ghosting issue is quite exagerated. you'd probably want to watch dvds on a ips screen anyway, due to it's brighter contrast.

if you're seriously considering it, just buy one and look at it for 30 days. if you dont like it, return it for your money back.
