Bluetooth upgrade T42

#1 Post by or|on » Sat Jul 16, 2005 6:41 am

Hello, im having problems ordering the Bluetooth daughter card for my T42 (2373) 3VU from IBM.

When I go to their webpage
http://www-132.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/store ... logId=-840
and enter the part number 91P7319 which should be the daughter card, I get this message

“The part number you have entered is either incorrect or cannot be found. Please re-enter the number, or enter another number and try again.”

Anybody know the reason for this, have they stopped supplying this part, is there a newer revision? What might be the reason?

Regards

Even

I don't know why, but IBM has a tendency to change their part numbers, and they sometimes have no reference to the old numbers. Look for your part starting at the following link:

You can also call IBM Parts directly. Old parts get discontinued and replaced by new parts all the time.

I searched a bit for this too today but don't see it anywhere on the IBM/Lenovo website.

I found a store in China selling this on Ebay and am about to bite. It's ~60$s. What would you folks recommend?

The seller mentions "thinkpads.com" in his product description. So he's one of the good guys, right? :)

call IBM parts... that way you avoid any confusion and they confirm you're getting what you want. thats how i ordered mine.

27R1880 is the substitute part number for the part number you have provided and should come up if you look for it in the online shop.
