Getting IBM to put a 7200 RPM in?

#1 Post by mgenin » Tue Jul 19, 2005 10:41 am

Im about to order a Thinpad t43, it comes with a 80 gig 5400 rpm. I phoned some IBM sales person, and asked if they would put a 60 gig 7200 in... and he said they wont, has anyone been able to do this? I cant seem to find the right specs combination that fits my price range.

I got the same response when I asked them to put it in, he said that is impossible.

if it's a standard or express model they won't do it.

But if you buy a custom built model then you have the option.

You need to be a student or alumni for those deals?
