Payement the day of shipment or at order?

The sales rep told me on the phone they are taking the moneyfrom the Credit card the day they ship the laptop.
Mine has been deducted this morning with a shipment date in a month(7/22)

How that happen to you guys?

They put a hold on the amount to be charged to your card to be sure that it is available at the time of shipment.
T41p-GEU / T42p-KXU bought from Bill/ T60p-8HU / 4 T400p's and now a T440p
