T42p Port Replicator II Questions/Issues

I just got a second Port Replicator II (the first one didn't seem to work to well) and have some weird things occurring with it. First, the audio input jack on the Port Replicator II doesn't seem to work, as I've tried plugging in two microphones with no success (the audio when I record still seems to get picked up from the internal mic on the laptop). The audio input jack on the laptop itself seems to work fine with my microphones though. Any ideas regarding this? Could it be another bad port replicator?

Also, I now have a Local Area Connection 3 in my Network Connections that states its a Bluetooth LAN Access Server Driver #2. The problem is, I already had a Bluetooth Network icon in my Network Connections that was for the Bluetooth LAN Access Server Driver and is still there in addition to this new icon. Any idea what happened there?
