T40p Video driver install on windows XP

I've been trying to install a video driver on a T40p in order to see what GPU it has, but using the driver on this website's drivers page (Video driver (ATI Radeon, FireGL Series) for Windows 2000/XP / 1rd637ww), it installs but the GPU still shows up in device manager and dxdiag as the generic windows VGA driver. Any help as to why the driver doesn't seem to install properly?

Get the TYPE from the sticker on the bottom (or in the BIOS), e.g. 2373-KA2, and enter that in the MTM link at the top of this page.
Or if you have the P/N or FRU of your motherboard, check it on the list here: https://www.theboardroom.info/ibm_list.html
Both will tell you what GPU you have.
Also, try and install HWINFO-32 to check it.
