Here is my new (to me) thinkpad. Puchased from plucky duck.

Its a T-42 P

This is much much faster then the T-41 which I sadly lost in an unfortunate mishap.

The first thing I notice is the faster boot up, my T-41 took atleast 5 mins to start up. Vidoe card is amazing with graphics etc.

The coulple thinkg I would do is add a gig memory stick and remove the trackpad, where can I get a regular plate?. And I am pretty sure this is a chinese keyboard, where can I get the Thai one?

My bad. I removed the 'IMG' Could you place it back in the general section so I can get more info on my questions.

you can get a non-touchpad palm rest from whoever is selling parts these days..
i DID have a few but i am probably out of them..

your T41 should NOT have taken 5 minutes to boot up..
something was wrong..
