Sleep to Hibernate question

#1 Post by kaplanfx » Tue Jul 26, 2005 8:46 pm

I read about the sleep to hibernate option in another thread but I have been unable to get it to work. Which settings to I need specifically to make this work? I currenty only changed one option which allowed me to set the time to sleep before going to hibernate, It had options 30, 60, and 90 and I selected 90. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Make sure you uninstall Alcohol 120% first if you have it installed.

Go to Power Options Properties -> Hibernate Tab -> Enable Hibernation

I have been able to hibernate fine. My problem is using the bios feature that will wake up the laptop and hibernate after the laptop has been sleeping for some period of time. Anyone use this feature?

I did a little searching, and I don't see that this is a Windows supported feature. I could be wrong. I think this is a feature supported by some other operating systems such as Linux. I did see where you can set up Windows to go from Suspend to Hibernate after the battery drops to a certain charge level such as 75% charge.
