T41 BIOS Update Via USB

Hello everyone, I have recently swapped my dead T42p's motherboard out with a T41 motherboard which has a Pentium M 765 from the original dead motherboard right now as I don't have any other compatible CPUs at this moment and I am currently trying to create a bootable USB for BIOS update 3.23. However, before anyone asks why I am not using the .exe file as is I have in simple terms been unable to get the system to boot from Windows XP properly therefore in this case I will not be able to use the .exe file without creating bootable media from it.

So, after I extracted the files using WinRAR from 1ruj37us.exe which I have downloaded from Lenovo's official website, I have grabbed those same files from the folder of the extracted contents, put them into PowerISO and burned the files to a CD. Upon powering the machine on and booting from the CD, no operating system was detected. After hearing about putting the files onto a USB stick instead of a CD, I also did just about the same thing and copied the extracted files to one of my USB sticks. Booting from the USB also left me with a black screen saying, "an operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system."

Lastly, I also saved this ISO file I created and tried to export it to a USB stick with Rufus and I got an error message telling me the ISO image isn't bootable. As for the reasons of this going on, I am well aware that the needed files in the ISO I created may be missing or named incorrectly although I don't exactly have any idea what files need to be renamed if any nor do I know where to properly source any potentially missing files from to make this image bootable.

If anyone has any idea how to help me out with turning the .exe file for BIOS update 3.23 into a bootable USB on what is now essentially this T41, please let me know. I will also have a screenshot linked at the top of this post of what exactly the extracted files look like in the ISO file I created so that others can hopefully tell what the problem is more clearly.

Thanks in advance.

PS: I recently tried formatting my 64GB USB stick to FAT32 as I presume it should've been and extracted the files from 1ruj37us.exe straight into the USB although I still got an error message saying, "operating system not found."

The non-windows BIOS update runs in DOS. Make your USB stick boot into DOS, then copy the files from the archive to it. Boot into DOS, run the update program from the command line.

I appreciate the advice and I'll look into it, thanks. However, I bought a Pentium M 1.6GHz to find out in hopes if the problem with the system not booting into Windows XP and showing yellow graphical artifacts sometimes while trying to do so would be solved although as I expected at the same time these behaviors persisted so unfortunately for right now I assume I need to replace the system board again unless the problem isn't that deep and I can get advice on it. I could also try sending a picture of what happened if necessary.
