T42 vs. T43 weight

I noticed that the specs of the T42 with a 14.1 screen list it as 4.9lb but the specs of the T43 with the same screen weight 5.2lb... why the difference? Design-wise (externally at least) they look the same, so I'm wondering if it's simply a case of different websites quoting the wrong weights.

my 15" t43p is exartly 6 pounds with fully charge battery.

Could be the weight difference between the 6-cell and 9 cell battery, which happens to be 0.34 lbs.

Also, the T43 6-cell battery has a slightly higher capacity (4800mAH) than the T42 6-cell battery (4400 mAH), so it may contribute a little to the higher weight but not 0.3 lbs more.

Thanks... the weights quoted by various resellers seem to be all over the place, so I'm guessing the T43 nudges over 5lb and the T42 is just under 5lb.

I know that some of the weight differential between models of the same screen size can be attributed to differences in the cooling system. For example, my ThinkPad uses a short fan, while more powerful models have a larger "long fan" and heatpipe that goes over the GPU.
