T21 - Screen has to "warm up" prior to lighting up

Odd problem that has been getting a little worse over the past 6 months:

Screen takes a while to light-up after I power-on my T21 Thinkpad. Sometimes the screen won't light up for 30+ seconds.

Sounds like a connection problem? Is this common?

Yep, it happens. Is the screen a little pink also when it first starts?

Have you checked the "lid closed detect" switch? Sometimes that gets sticky.

It's possible that the display/backlight is on it's last legs...
