Which wireless option is better? Intel 2915 or TP WIFI 2

I found that there are two options in T43, TP WIFI 2 and Intel 2915abg. I read through a lot of threads, but reviews are mixed. Many said that 2915 is not good, but some others claimed 2915 had better reception range than TP WIFI

Totally confused. Please give me some ideas about this

If the TP is the IBM/Ageius one, then its the best from what I hear. The decision I had to make was between the IBM WLAN card or the Intel one...my model did not have the IBM card and I was told that I couldnt configure to include it (by the IBM rep). So now I'm looking into to replace it with the IBM card once I get the comp- but now I'm worried if it'll void the warranty and etc b/c it seems to require removing the keyboard and palmrest (from what I hear).

I believe the IBM WiFi 2 is the best there is in the TP line. Somebody had compared
it with Intel's on this forum. I don't have the link to that thread, but the IBM WiFi won solidly.

My t41 originally came with the Intel 2100B and it really s***ed BIGTIME, dropped conections every 5 minutes, then was unable to find the router... all sort of stuff. Reinstalled drivers and all that, for no good.
Now I got the IBM II a/b/g/ and never looked back...
I use the laptop in a variety of hotspots and have a WiFi network at home (we share broadband connection with my flatmate).
This IBM card never dropped a connection and just seems to find them much faster. Signal range also seems much better. Better than all the Dells and HPs of my friends' at local BItBuzz cafes (Ireland's rough equivalent of Starbucks)
Bought this card on amazon.co.uk and paid 70 UK Pounds or something like that.

Oddly, IBM WiFi 1 is much more expensive than IBM WiFi 2.

I'd venture that this is the only place you'll hear that. With the millions of people using wifi, only IBM folk have good connections? I don't think so. I have Intel, work wirelessly both at home and traveling, and have never ever had hint of a problem.

I have the Intel 2100b in my T40 and it works fine... usually. There are days when the connection goes in and out every five minutes, despite being no more than 10 feet from the router, but I put that down to interference from other sources (like the 8+ other routers within range).

I have the power cranked up to full and the only slightly disconcerting thing is the the S/N ratio of my connection (as measured by Net Stumbler) seems to fluctuate wildly, even on "good" connection days. I'm hoping that the IBM II card in my just-ordered T43 will provide a more stable connection.

But the Atheros chipset is not proprietary to IBM! Lots of network devices run on it.
IBM brands the card "IBM a/b/g" etc, but for example mine has PHILIPS written on it...
