new T43s only 3.8lb!

I saw some new T43 models that are apparently only 3.8lbs! Is this a typo? Or is it the weight without the battery. Even then, it should be lighter than the current crop of T43. Besides, all models are 2Ghz

If you try customizing it, it doesn't come with a wireless card inside. That might be the 0.5 lbs or so, and maybe htey didn't account for battery.

More likely without the wireless card, and without AC adapter and cord, as this is listed as 'Travel Weight'.

Just when you think you've finally figured out the confusing maze that's IBM/Lenovo's website(s), something like this pops up -- an endless array of various configurations of the 2686N9U (or 2686NAU) at unbelievable prices with free memory and shipping. And under 4lbs to boot. Somebody shoot me.

It is highly likely that this is a mistake. If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true.

Lenovo seems to be sufering the same numer of website errors (specs, prices etc.) that Dell is famous for, though in the case of Dell I've had some pretty good bargains from 'em as a result!

This isn't a result of the Lenovo switch. IBM has been screwing up these specs (Ghz-Mhz, 2lb/10lb, 72w/120w, etc.) on the thinkpad sites for years. A lot of products to deal with, so mistakes do happen, unfortunately.
