Which power adaptor comes with the T42?

I am in the market for a second power adaptor to keep in my bag while I travel, but I don't know which one to buy. IBM has a 72W adaptor which is compatible with the T-series, but they also sell a 54W slim adaptor. The website says this slim adaptor is compatible with many Thinkpad lines but I can't find specific information to determine if it works with the T42. Any suggestions/insight?

My t42p came with a 72W (P/N 08K8205).

You need the 72W charger.

The 54W unit is for X series machines without optical drives.

My T43 shipped with part# 92P1024, which is described as "FRU 72W SLIM AC ADAPTER (ROHS) - SANKEN". I'm not 100% certain, but I would guess this should work on a T42 as well? I haven't seen any other T series adapters in person, so can't say whether this one is significantly slimmer than the others. I've also been searching for a second adapter myself, and since this one is supposed to be the "slim" version, I've been trying to find it on ebay, but to no avail.

Easy since I got a 2nd adapter for my own T42: ThinkPad 72W AC Adapter

It says: "Compatible with the T series"..."SAME specifications as the standard 72W AC Adapter THAT SHIPS WITH the T, R, & A Series ThinkPads"
