Miscelaneous Parts

#1 Post by Kyocera » Mon Aug 15, 2005 4:41 pm

I have been searching and searching the Lenovo web for parts, I can find the parts but can't seem to be able to order them using the part numbers given. I specifically am looking for a 40G hard drive tray (for the factory slot not ultra bay) and HD cover. Any help appreciated.

Remember to post in the right forum:

The T series forum is not for general discussion.

I posted it in that forum because I own a T42 and it is the T42 forum. Now that it has been moved to the general forum it is useless.

Then you need to be more specific about what you're looking for. Nowhere in your original message (see above) did you indicate that the parts were for a T series system. I moved it back, but be more careful in the future. The other members of the forum or the moderators can't be expected to remember what everyone has.

People do read the General Forum, and the rules are very clear:

2. Post in the right forum! If it's about the X Series, post it in the X Series forum. Even if it's only humor, an observation, or angst, if it's about something that we have a forum for, post it there.

the T series confrence is for T series only..
please, no general questions..
questions in this section for T series related matters only..
You should have made clear that you were looking for T4x related parts.

Ok, I am new to this forum, I'll be more conscious of the format, anyhow, Bill, can I get a hard drive bracket, does it come with the 4 screws? Orderd a screw pack from IBM and it did not have those 4, they seem to be a little fatter than the others. I don't need the hard drive cover. Basically I have a 10gig hard drive I got out of a crashed fiery and it works great in my machine but I need the bracket for ease of installation.
