Ultrabay 'placeholder' bezel?

#1 Post by Jmmmmm » Tue Aug 16, 2005 9:22 pm

When I take out the optical drive, there is just a gaping hole. Was I supposed to get any sort of plastic holder to prevent stuff from getting in there? I can't imagine that they would expect you to just leave it empty.

I looked on ibm's website and couldn't find one. I found some blank bezels on ebay for the 'ultra bay 2000', ( http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-ThinkPad-Ultra- ... dZViewItem ), but that is different than the ultrabay slim, right?

And I'm guessing this won't fit either: http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-Thinkpad-600-Dr ... dZViewItem

Are there harddrive adapters that fit in the t4x ultra bay?

Thanks

UltrabaySlim optical drives Travel cover - Part Number: 13N5108

Call IBM parts for it, it's not in the online purchase database.
