Is your t43 hot? How about the fan noise?

I love my t43 except the fan noise. I often turn on the tv so I can't hear the fan noise. Did you ever test your CPU temperature at idle and 20~30 minutes 100% loading?

Try:

- Making sure there aren't any excess processes (like spyware) running in the background driving up CPU utilitzation
- Setting battery mode to thinkpad default
- (if you are using wifi) setting the wifi antenna mode to "best power saving"
- running Centrino Hardware Control to underclock the GPU
- running CHC to undervolt the CPU

I have t43p 2,13GHz and can't make the fan stop. I use CHC for undervolting and underclocking, I shut down unnecessary services, have on Thinkpad default. The core temp. is always just a bit too high. The fan starts at 45°C, core temp. is almost all the time (except in cooler environment) at 44°C or higher.

so far so good, fan not loud at all, and can't really hear it. it a little worm underneath but compare to my friend's t42, it's about the same.
