resolution display help

#1 Post by nrj45 » Sat Aug 20, 2005 4:08 am

Heeelp,
I did something but I don't know what exactly but since that, my SXGA+ display will not stretch lower resolution.
e.g : If i play a 1024x768 game, it will appear like a little square in the center of the screen (using effective 1024x768 pixels instead of interpoling and display on the whole screen).
Did someone already experienced that ?

Thanks for help

SHORT VERSION

display settings > advanced > displays > panel > stretch
turn it off

-------

LONG VERSION (had time now)

1. Right click desktop, choose properties
2. Click "Settings" tab
3. Click "Advanced"
4. Click "Displays" tab
5. Click "Panel" button
6. "Scale image to panel size" -> check to stretch, uncheck to not strech

I have it unchecked myself because it gives me a cool small startup screen when booting and small hibernate screen when ...

Thank you very much thisrob. quite hidden option but good to know it exists...
I think when I played with display properties under linux, something changed this setting, because i didn't know that this behavior was "tunable".
