IBM Restore and Rescue password

Hi all,

I've got in troubles with RnR password. I installed Client Security Software and everytime the machine restarted, it prompted for RnR password. So I chose "set RnR to the password you've set". And I now I can't get to RnR area. I'm pretty sure that I entered all possible passwords I can think up. This really [censored] me off. Anyone knows how to fix this? In another thread, ppl sugguested that reinstalling RnR might help. Does that affect HPA?

HPA and R&R are largely independent. HPA can run the R&R recovery for you, though.

I uninstalled R&R altogether from Windows simply because of that aweful pain-in-the-[censored] popup. What on earth were they thinking?

I don't know what triggers it, but it seems to be everything but changing passwords. Uninstall the nuisance and be rid of it.
